Ridges and hips are the location of roof where maximum heat is concentrated, below the tiles. It is extremely important to release this heat in order to have a cooler roof. At the same time, it is important to have a waterproofing system to avoid the risk of water leakages. Traditional method using cement mortar sealed off the ridge & hip, trapping heat within the roof. It will crack and peel off over time under rain and shine causing additional money to re fix the affected areas and it is highly unaesthetic.
